western civ blog 40

Today on our online western civ class we had to watch a video called “Plato’s Best (and Worst) Ideas." Then we had to answer the following questions;
1) How did Plato define The Forms?
Plato defined The Forms as the ideal concept of the things we see around us. He thought that the forms were really important, he describe them as "perfect forms." They act as a guid for the modern world. He believes philosophers should study them.
2) Who are the three groups in Plato’s ideal society?
In Platos society the three groups are military, producers, and rulers. He created a noble lie to make everybody follow these three groups.
3) What were Plato’s thoughts on women?
Plato believed that women should be able too rule. Plato was very "inconsistent" with women. 4) What was the Noble Lie that Plato proposed?
Plato's Noble lie was created so everyone would follow his three groups of military, rulers, and producers. With everybody following his rules, it would be the "ideal society." When born everyone is born with either gold, brass, silver, or iron which determined your role in life.
